A Record Label founded in 1999 at Jazz fm Radio Stations’ Enterprise Division by Mark Doyle who proposed the initial idea and created the name, concept and track listings, Hed Kandi was a stable mate to Jazz fm Records. Its live events quickly gained popularity with a residency in Ibiza at el Divino and by having its own specialist radio show on Jazz FM. In 2002, Hed Kandi had gathered enough momentum from its Ibiza nights to launch a regular residency at Pacha in London. Two of the most notable DJ’s that have worked for Hed Kandi was Andy Norman and Steve Krafft, After the purchase by Ministry of Sound they set of to start the brand ‘Original Dj’s’.In January 2006, Hed Kandi was purchased by Ministry of Sound.

Hailing from Brighton, Carl was introduced to house music in the early 00’s, where inspirational sets from the likes of Erick Morillo and Fatboy Slim set the tone for his development as a DJ. Carl’s productions in the studio have been supported by the world’s biggest names, his music having been released by labels including Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records and My Digital Enemy’s Zulu Records. From laidback sunshine grooves, percussive tribal beats and slamming disco, Carl’s discography have hit radio frequencies on BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Capital.
Born and raised in Manchester, Chris started DJing in the bars of the city before his 15 year residency at Manchester’s leading house venue VENUS. In the past he has played fashion events and celebrity parties, from the likes of Vivienne Westwood to Coronation Street. Chris has recently been selected as a DJ for the international Manchester United Showcase Tour. Chris has already played around the globe in places like South Africa, Hong Kong and India, having graced some of the finest clubs alongside DJs such as Roger Sanchez Nicky Romero and MK.
Deanne Oliver-Evans aka Blonde Ambition is a party popper personified, mixing only the finest selection of funk, nu-disco & house music, creating an uplifting feel good vibe to every gig she plays. The positivity she exudes and passion for great music ensures she’s the girl everyone wants at their party – whether it’s playing a sunshine set on a boat in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, a colourful high energy festival set, sultry late night hidden haunt or sundowners on a beach in Ibiza. Deanne’s ability to read the crowd and work the room is unparalleled and an experience not to be missed.
Eibhlín (pronounced Evelyn) hails from the Southwest coast of Ireland. Influenced by dance music from days spent sneaking into her mother’s nightclub, her obsession grew rapidly, eventually moving to London to pursue her passion full time. Her turntable finesse was spotted by Hed Kandi, and has since become one of our international DJs, going from strength to strength and DJing shows in Italy, Poland, and Monaco, as well as playing Miami Music Festival and ADE in Amsterdam. In between touring, Eibhlin’s worked on her own productions, her first track ‘Mo Fua
Multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ, Kisch has been on the London music scene since before he can remember. A lover of many genres, he cut his teeth playing for guitar bands across the UK’s capital before discovering his love for Chicago beats and replacing his Fenders with Korgs and Pioneers. 2014 saw his rise to prominence in the House music scene with a summer release of ‘Everything I Need’ hitting Traxsource’s top 5. This was followed in 2015 by a Traxsource no.1 collaboration with The Shapeshifters, “The Chase”, which received regular plays on Pete Tong’s shows in the UK and US. He has since had a release on Low Steppa’s highly acclaimed Simma Black label and has his track “Closer” forthcoming on 2016’s world famous Cafe Mambo compilation
New girl on the block Loéca has been aweing clubbers in her debut year as a Hed Kandi Ibiza residents. New to Hed Kandi, however not so new to the music scene, Loéca has house music in her veins. Influenced by dance music from the early nineties, she got her first residency in Ireland at the tender age of 14, working the club scene across the country until agde of 16 she played her first gig in Ibiza for Manumission. It was love at first sight on the island and after returning the following two summers with gigs at many of the island’s hotspots including super clubs Eden & Amnesia, Loéca made the permanent move in 2010 and has been an Ibiza resident
Interesting and uplifting, Malin’s DJ sets create a unique and fun atmosphere catering to a universal audience, whether it being on a yacht in Croatia or a club in London. Living in Madrid and Ibiza while experiencing the amazing house scene at the time on a first hand basis catapulted her from just curating music to getting behind the decks. Making London her stomping ground for the last 6 years Malin has been playing everywhere from the West End night clubs to art and fashion events across the city. Malin’s vocal house-based sets are always fun and often infused with a myriad of recognisable samples ranging from disco to the latest club tracks.
Starting his career in 2005, Nathan Cozzetto is establishing himself as a highly sought after DJ, regularly playing UK big hitters Ministry of Sound and Pacha. Studying music production and sound engineering at music college in London, Nathan’s productions have received support from taste makers around the world. His first release was on Toolroom, with his remix of Dirty South’s ‘Minority’ reaching the top 20 in the Beatport Tech House Chart. After winning Hed Kandi’s producer competition in 2011, he has DJ’ed all over the world
Since her career began in 2007, London-born DJ & Producer Phoebe d’Abo has earned a spot as one of the most in-demand artists on the international club circuit. As the first choice DJ for brands such as Porsche, Swarovski and London Fashion Week, Phoebe has graced the decks of the world’s celebrated clubs including Pacha London, Creamfields Festival and Space Ibiza. After being scouted online by Hed Kandi in 2011, Phoebe began clocking up the air miles as an official Resident DJ; with bookings in China, Russia and Brazil. Following her first two successful summers with the brand, Phoebe was honoured to compile and mix Disc One of both Hed Kandi’s latest ‘Twisted House’ and ‘Ibiza’ compilations.
DJ & producer Simon Hardy is the latest addition to the Hedkandi roster. Having worked behind the scenes as a producer, engineer and all round House music expert Simon comes to the forefront in his own right. After releasing his debut track ‘On Top’ for free download and being launched into the music blog stratosphere Simon arrives on Hedkandi with the ‘Samba EP’, a beautiful cocktail of disco licks, uplifting piano riffs and dancefloor destroying basslines. Simon’s talents don’t just lie in the recording studios, as you can hear him live across the UK on Capital FM from 10PM playing the biggest upfront club tunes
ChrisB – Percussionist, Producer, Remixer, Engineer and slave to the rhythm!! From being the baby of the brand Chris is now into his tenth year with the Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi families and firmly established as one of the longest running residents. He juggles an international touring schedule to match most headline DJs, as well as a studio workload, which has resulted in a top 10 artist album on Toolroom Records, multiple releases on high profile labels, TV/soundtrack work, pop productions and of course contributing heavily to numerous Hed Kandi and Ministry releases. Musically championed by the music press, radio and DJs worldwide, including Mark Knight, Louie Vega and Dubfire while being a regular fixture on Above & Beyond’s Group therapy radio.
Dax on Sax
With such a strong musical pedigree it wasn’t long until Dax became a regular Hed Kandi feature following his debut for the brand at the back of 2012. A musician from the early age of 7, Dax’s intense classical training and wide ranging experience have given him the foundation to excel in the club industry and become one of the most exciting sax players in the game. With all the charisma and presence you would expect from a contemporary musician, Dax’s energy inspired performances captivate his every audience whilst his truly unique soulful sound makes him an instant hit with the crowds. With a true love for house music and a natural ability to interpret the most complex of popular electronic material, it is no surprise that Dax’s transition into the realm of house music has been nothing short of effortless.
Ellie.Sax performs at some of the world’s most exclusive events and private parties, bringing with her a soulful blend of classic sax melodies and modern dance anthems. Ellie has toured all over the world, from New Years Eve parties in the Maldives to moonlight raves in the Caribbean, but likes nothing more than getting back to her routes performing alongside such old school heavyweights as Jon DaSilva, Terry Farley, Dave Law and many more. As well as all this she also has one of the coolest Saxophones around called ‘The Rainbow Sax’ this one has to be seen to be believed.
An honours graduate in Jazz from Leeds college of Music, Laura is renowned for her performances with Hed Kandi and Ministry of Sound. It’s no surprise that she is the clubbing world’s most in-demand saxophonist, having played in the most prestigious international clubs including Es Paradis, Space Ibiza and Pacha worldwide. Summer 2014 saw a Facebook video of Laura playing Jubel by Klingande go viral on the internet with 200k likes and over 60k shares. Laura was then invited to play with Klingande and now regularly performs with them on tour. Her perfomances at Hed Kandi nights truly set the place on fire.
Sister Sax has performed at all dayers to sunrise sessions, from boat raves to label launch parties. Most recently performing back to back with Simon Dunmore of Defected records, she will now be bringing her fresh and quirky sax style to Ministry of Sound. Already an established name in the house music scene across Essex and London, Sister Sax will be showcasing her sax skills for us at a selection of Hed Kandi events this summer.
